Property Description

The glacier village of Saas-Fee proudly calls itself the «Free Republic of Holidays» – and that's no exaggeration! The Saas valley is famous for its sunny hiking routes, snowy mountain tours, adrenaline kicks on the slopes, winter and summer trend sports, gorge and glacier safaris, and much more besides. Even the wellnessHostel4000 features spectacular accommodation: on a high plateau above the Saas valley, surrounded by majestic mountains, in a building that is unique worldwide – with integrated Aqua Allalin wellness pool, indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, trendy restaurant4000 and stylish bistro4000. We serve fresh and refreshing food, including regional tapas to go with convivial aperitifs.

Extremely expensive and everything costs! Playing pool is 20 Franks! Everything is nice in the location, but for 65 Franks a night, you'd hope for more than a single bunk bed. Otherwise, if you can afford it, it's a comfortable place in a great location.

Fabulous view of the mountains and glacier from the room. Comfy bed. Clean and spacious facilities. Awesome breakfast and good value dinner (at an extra cost). Shame there is no basic kitchen to make tea or a sandwich. I didn’t use the spa until the last day and I wish I had gone every day, it’s large and spacious and has a stunning view from various areas. Go and enjoy.

The spa clearly attracts some older clientele over skiers however it’s a good mix and I met some very nice people. The breakfast is simple but convenient, the alpinexpress cable car is a bit of a walk but not crazy, and one can always wait for the bus which is provided for free by the Saastall card. After a day of skiing, I'd typically spend 2-3 hours in the amazing sauna/spa area before resuming some work and then proceeding to go out in the town with friends. Overall awesome and rejuvenating.
